Chapter One

Food for Everyone.

A letter from the founders

First Press Protein. "Food for everyone."

For us, "Non-GMO" and "Organic" aren't buzzwords. They're a lifestyle and a basic human right.

That's why we started this plant-based company — with the idea that anyone can have clean, unprocessed protein.

We are bringing back the classic oatmeal we grew up enjoying, but with purpose and thought behind each flavor.

No angle: as a company and brand we don't believe in "superfoods." All plant-based foods have their own unique set of health benefits, mentally and physically.

The company was created out of pure necessity. Being a couple of massive recreational campers and chefs by trade, we always had crazy oatmeals for breakfast. We just decided to put two and two together.

Thus First Press Protein was born, with the name having depth of meaning: the cleanest and purest form of olive oil is the "first press," and so the same for how we as humans source and digest protein — protein and nutrients from the earth, not animals.

Why sprouted oats?

We use gluten-free sprouted rolled oats for multiple reasons — from being easier to digest to having more nutrients available per serving. For us, it was a no-brainer.

What does "low glycemic" mean?

The Glycemic Index is a spectrum of foods that regulate the body's blood sugar. High-glycemic foods run into the complication of spiking blood sugar levels. We keep our oatmeals low, so they're friendlier for people with diabetes and folks practicing low-sugar lifestyles.

"Food for everyone" is a simple phrase with a powerful message. We're not here to shame or judge. Plant-based is our lifestyle, but you don't have to be a radical vegan to enjoy our recipes. Our food is hearty, healthy, and flavor-forward.
